I do occasional consulting and freelance work. My work focuses on developing methods for converting data between formats (e.g., converting Excel or Microsoft Word to XML, or between different flavors of XML) and on development and use of digital libraries, particularly collections of medieval manuscripts. I am currently looking for small-scale projects
I have modified existing XSLT for DCLP to convert EPIDOC XML to HTML.
I have converted metadata from a variety of formats into Collex RDF for the Medieval Electronic Scholarly Alliance (MESA). I am currently working on a project to convert spreadsheet data to EAD for the Philadelphia Area Consortium of Special Collections Libraries (PACSCL)
I am currently consulting on the Folger Shakespeare Library’s new Digital Asset Platform.
I teach “The Medieval Manuscript in the 21st Century” for Rare Book School (with Will Noel).
